Gibson City nursing home cited for alleged violations

The State Department of Public Health has posted the list of nursing homes that they say committed violations in the fourth quarter of last year. A Gibson City facility was among six facilities cited with type “AA” violations of the Nursing Home Care Act during the fourth quarter of 2024, the most severe type. Those are cited when there is a condition or occurrence at the facility that proximately caused a resident’s death. Goldwater Care Gibson City was named by the state along with facilities in Oak Park, Niles, Waukegan, Zion, and Chicago
