NAACP Essay Contest underway

Time is running out for students to get their entry in for the Kankakee County Branch of the NAACP’s Black History Month Essay Writing Contest. Middle School Students need to write a 300-500 word essay and high school students a 500-750 word essay on the topic “is the NAACP still relevant today”. Submission deadline is February 21st, and there are cash prizes for first, second and third place. Contact the local branch of the NAACP for more information.
