Arrest in Last Week’s Armed Robbery

One of three people believed to be involved in an armed robbery last week has been arrested.  The victim tells police he set up a meeting with a girl he met on SnapChat at South 4^th Ave. and Hawkins in Kankakee, during which money would be exchanged.  When he arrived at the meeting place the victim was escorted by the girl to the rear of the home where he was jumped by two men, one with a gun who beat and robbed him before all three fled.  City police say Maurice T. Jones was arrested Friday and charged with Armed Robbery and Aggravated Battery.
