City Police investigate burglary

Kankakee City Police are investigating after a home on North Wildwood Avenue was broken into Tuesday morning. According to reports, officers were called to the home just after 11:30 yesterday morning by a woman who said she and her family members had left the home about 9:30 in the morning and returned to find a safe in the living room was missing some documents and a shotgun was missing from her bedroom. The victim told police her daughter had left a window open when they left for the morning. The investigation continues.
