Governor Says No New Taxes

Illinois Governor JB Pritzker’s 55-point-two billion dollar 2025 spending plans do not include new taxes.  He unveiled the budget this afternoon in Springfield.  The proposal also cuts health care for immigrant adults who don’t have legal status.  Another proposal ensures medication abortion pills would remain legal in the state even if a federal ban is implemented.  Pritzker mentioned that he was uncertain of how much federal funding he would receive from the Trump administration and how it would impact the Illinois budget.
