The Trump Administration’s budget cuts are being felt in Wilmington. Four employees at the Midewin National tallgrass Prairie in Wilmington have allegedly been fired for quote, “poor performance”. The four that include a youth program coordinator, a facilities operations specialist, a range ecologist and a 35 year old Natural resource education specialist from Manhattan, tell the Herald News they lost their jobs when some 3,400 employees were cut in the U.S. Forest Service. One of the four tells the newspaper they intend to join a class action lawsuit against the administration making its way through the courts.
