Momence PD concludes internal investigation

Momence Police say an internal investigation of one of their own found allegation against the officer to be “false and without merit”. We’re not exactly sure what the allegations were, but in a weekend Facebook post, Momence Police Chief Patrick E Siemsen posted that allegations had been made against the officer about leaking information on an investigation. Siemsen said his office conducted an investigation but were unable to contact the person making the claims, despite several attempts, and that’s when the investigation ended. The post also included an apology letter from the person who made the false accusations.
