Monee Police Looking for Missing 16 Year Old Girl

The Monee Police Department is asking for your help in locating a missing 16 year old girl.  In a Facebook post Monee police say Aniya Melgar went missing last night.  She was last seen in the 25,000 block of Derby Drive in Monee.  She’s described as African American, brown eyes and hair, five feet six inches tall and 190 pounds. She is believed to be wearing a black or blue coat and carrying a blue Cross-body purse. Police are asking anyone in the area who may have video surveillance to check for any sign of the Melgar between 8 last night and 8:30 this morning.
