Chamber State of the County Held Today

The 2025 State of the County gathering hosted by the Kankakee County Chamber of Commerce was held this morning at Olivet Nazarene University.  The annual event gives county leaders a chance to reflect on the accomplishments of the previous year and outline the county’s future goals.  Kankakee County Economic Alliance President and CEO, Tim Nugent told the gathering today that while it’s great that the county’s business community is strong and growing, he’s concerned that with more jobs comes more people, and an expansion of housing needs to be addressed.
