City of Watseka announces OSLAD grant

The City of Watseka has received a grant for improvements to Lakeview Park. In a press release, the City says the nearly 600-thousand-dollar grant will be used to bring a splash pad, sand volleyball courts, outdoor fitness equipment, amphitheater and pickleball courts to the park. That grant is expected to cover about 1/2 the cost of park improvements. The City of Watseka will hold a public meeting March 20th to get feedback from home owners and business owners to give feedback on the project. The City says they have until April 22nd to sign the Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development or OSLAD grant to secure the funds.
