Kankakee Outlaws Kratom

Kankakee has outlawed the sale of Kratom and synthetic drugs at tobacco-licensed businesses to combat substance misuse. Over 50 establishments have 30 days to comply or face fines and license revocation. The ordinance, passed unanimously with a 13-0 vote, is a united effort involving the Pledge for Life Partnership, the Kankakee County Coroner’s Office, and local leaders.
