Drug bust in Will County takes drugs, guns off the street

Will County Sheriff’s Police report the arrest of a 28-year-old Lockport man this week on numerous drug and weapons charges. In a press release, Deputies say Wednesday marked the end of a months-long investigation when search warrants were served at two locations associated with Denzel S. Hawthorne of Lockport. At the first location, a search allegedly turned up a digital scale, cocaine, methamphetamine and numerous other pills thought to be illegal narcotics. Then, the second search allegedly turned up more than 15-thousand-grams of Meth, cocaine, heroine, 14 firearms, ammunition and numerous firearm magazines. One of the guns found at the second apartment was thought to have been stolen. Hawthone was taken to the Will County Jail on preliminary charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver along with other drug and weapons charges.
