The National Weather Service has confirmed at least two tornadoes touched down in Iroquois County early Wednesday evening. Members of both the Iroquois and Ford County EMA along with a National Weather Service survey team examined damage left by the storms and determined a hog farm near Loda and an outbuilding near Cissna Park were both damaged by tornadoes. The storm that touched down near Loda was determined to be an EF-1 tornado with winds of around 100-miles an hour, while the one near Cissna Park was found to be an EF-0, with sustained winds of around 65 miles an hour. Iroquois County Emergency Management Agency Coordinator Scott Anderson says an internal investigation showed a communications deficiency led to a several minute delay between a tornado warning being issued by the Weather Service and the sirens going off in the County . Anderson says that issue had been addressed by his office. The Weather Service says a total of five tornadoes struck central Illinois Wednesday evening. There were no reported injuries from any of the storms
