Kankakee City Council votes to increase sewer rates

Sewer rates will be going up in the City of Kankakee. During last night’s City Council Meeting, Aldermen passed an ordinance increasing rates starting next month. Mayor Chris Curtis says the new ordinance creates two classifications when it comes to sewer usage

The new ordinance takes effect May first.
