Tri-Point schools reopen following scare

Apr 23, 2025 | 9:29 AM
Tri-Point Schools in Kempton, Piper City and Collom are back in session today after school was cancelled yesterday due to an anonymous threat. The text was sent to a Tri-Point High School student and the unknown texter apparently threatened to “bomb the school”. Because of the threat schools were closed there Tuesday, but work by the school administration, Livingston County Sheriff’s deputies and the Ford County Sheriff’s office failed to find any credibility to the threat. Tri-Point Schools Superintendent Jay Bennett asks anyone with information about the incident call law enforcement officials. School is back in session today as normal.
