Bourbonnais Schools Back in Session

School’s back in session today for students in the Bourbonnais Elementary School District. In a Facebook Post, school officials say they have “scheduled transportation solutions” for today which included borrowing buses from other districts. The post goes on to say regular bus stops and pick up/drop off times will be used, even though some of the buses will have different numbers and might even have a different school name on the side. It’ll be the regular BESD 53 bus drivers driving the bus. The District had to call off classes yesterday, after someone broke into the bus barn area overnight Wednesday night and took the catalytic converters from the 21 buses parked on the lot, making the buses inoperative. Local law enforcement is looking into the theft.
