Kankakee City Police report an arrest following an alleged home invasion Monday afternoon. According to reports, it was just after 12:30 Monday afternoon when officers were called to a home in the 15-hundred block of West Bourbonnais Street for a report of shots fired. When they got there, officers spoke to a woman who said her daughter’s ex-boyfriend had walked into her home allegedly saying he was “going to kill” the daughters current boyfiend. Reports say the two men started to argue and 22-year-old Angel Guzman allegedly pulled a gun and fired it in the direction of both the mother and the boyfriend. City Police say they found a bullet hole in the back wall of the home’s kitchen. Guzman allegedly left the scene and was picked up later, charged with home invasion and aggravated discharge of a firearm among other charges.
