Two injured in NW Indiana crash

A crash in Northwest Indiana over the weekend sent two people to the hospital. According to reports, it was just after five Saturday morning when the Ford pick-up and Jeep Cherokee collided at US 41 and Route 14 near Enos. causing the jeep to catch fire. The Newton County Sheriff’s office says the driver of the pick-up failed to yield the right-of way causing the crash. The 66-year-old Indiana man driving the jeep and a passenger in his car were both able to get out of it before it was engulfed in flames. Both were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The drive of the truck, who was from Illinois, reportedly refused treatment.
