May 14, 2025 | 12:24 PM
The search for a new Police Chief in the Village of Bourbonnais will continue without the current interim Chief in the mix. Dave Anderson, who has served as interim Chief since Jim Phelps retired earlier this year says he will not pursue the position.

Anderson says his decision to retire comes after a lengthy meeting with Bourbonnais Village Administrator Mike VanMill and new Mayor Jeff Keast. Anderson’s last day with the department will be this Friday. It has also been announced that Assistant Bourbonnais Administrator Laurie Cyr will be leaving that post in June to become the City Planner in Loudon Tennessee.
