We have more now on that shooting in Iroquois County Monday night that left a 57-year-old Donovan woman dead. Iroquois County Sheriff’s Police say 38-year-old Nicholas Gregory of Milford had left his pickup truck parked on a railroad crossing in rural Iroquois as he allegedly entered a nearby home and stole the home owners car. He then reportedly drove that vehicle back to the one he left on the railroad crossing and when he got there 57-year-old Angela Taylor of Donovan had stopped to see what the problem was. Gregory then allegedly got out of the stolen vehicle and approached Taylor’s car, allegedly shooting her when she got out to talk with him. Gregory then fled the scene in his pick-up, drove to a home in Watseka where he allegedly threatened the home-owner before taking off again. He was later spotted in Jasper County Indiana and chased into Newton County where he was arrested. Angela Taylor was taken to St. Mary’s hospital where Kankakee County Coroner Bob Gessner says she died of a gunshot wound to the head. Gregory has been charged with first degree murder.
