Child drowns in Wilmington

Wilmington Police along with Braidwood Police and Braidwood Fire responded to a call in the Deer Ridge Subdivison just after 11:30 yesterday morning, for a child that had fallen into a pool and was unresponsive. Wilmington Police say when they got there, someone was already performing CPR on the child, who was taken to the hospital, but did not survive. Wilmington Police say the incident is under investigation.
