Memorial Day observances set for Monday

On Monday there will be several Memorial Day observances around the area. First at 9:30 Monday morning, there will be a graveside memorial service at Kankakee Memorial Gardens for Army Veteran John Curnbauer who died in Kankakee County without anyone to claim his body. Then at 11, the Kankakee Veterans Assistance Commission will hold its observance on the Courthouse Lawn. Also at 11 Monday morning the Bradley American Legion will hold an observance next to the Legion on Broadway in Bradley. The Watseka American Legion will hold an observance at Legion Park in Watseka and the Manteno American Legion will hold on at Manteno Legion  Park, both also at 11 Monday morning
