Construction on I-57

The Illinois Department of Transportation wants you to know that construction on I-57 in Iroquois County begins today. The nearly five mile work zone is from a half-mile north of the Illinois 116 Interchange to 2 miles north of the Clifton Interchange. Workers will mill and resurface the road, including the Clifton Interchange ramps. One lane traffic will be open in each direction during construction. The nine point eight million dollar project is expected to be completed in September.
