Illinois State Police Seize Drugs and Guns During I-57 Traffic Stop

Illinois State Police netted themselves a drug and weapons arrest during a routine traffic stop on I-57 late Sunday night. According to reports, an ISP trooper pulled over a Ford SUV near milepost 315 close to midnight Sunday. The driver, 25 year old Brandon C. Brown and front passenger, 57 year old Lee C. Mabins, both of Champaign, were allegedly found to be in possession of heroin, cannabis, open-alcohol, and two firearms. Brown and Mabins were arrested for several charges and taken to Jerome Combs Detention Center.
