Lawn Mower Theft in Kankakee

A new lawn mower was allegedly stolen out of someone’s garage on Kankakee’s north side yesterday afternoon. City Police reports say officers were called to a detached garage in the 100 block of north entrance avenue around one yesterday afternoon about an alleged burglary. The homeowner claims sometime since Tuesday morning, someone forced their way into the garage by removing a window to get inside. The suspect stole a fairly new lawn mower that the owner bought from Walmart. Also stolen was a new bathroom cabinet and metal duct work that used to be in the house.
