According to reports, officers were called to the 200 block of Crestlane Drive in reference to someone allegedly in possession of a gun and making threats to shoot it. When officers got there, they saw a man, later identified as 19 year old Tyreese L. Taylor, walking and stopping in front of apartment 202. Officers made contact with Taylor who refused to turn to face them and attempted to enter the apartment. Officers became suspicious and attempted to grab Taylor to check if he had a firearm. The door to the apartment was opened and Taylor allegedly threw a .9 millimeter handgun from his waist area towards the opposite apartment door. After a struggle, officers were able to detain Taylor and were advised through dispatch that he did not have a FOID card or Conceal Carry License. Taylor was charged with Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon among other charges.
