ICE Allegedly in Kankakee Thursday

Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, or better known as ICE, were allegedly in Kankakee yesterday. According to a Facebook post from Kankakee School District 111, they received word that ICE was present in the community yesterday. The post made by Superintendent Doctor Teresa Lance went on further to say that ICE agents are only allowed into District 111 buildings if they have a valid judicial warrant signed by a judge. We’ve reached out to Kankakee City Police on whether they can confirm ICE’s presence yesterday in the area but we have not heard back.
