The Helen Wheeler Center in Kankakee announced Tuesday it will merge with Rincon Family Services based in Chicago. President and CEO Jackie Haas says the merger will enhance their current mental healthcare resources.
Haas says one of the new services to be provided will be substance abuse counseling. Even with the Rincon merger, the Helen Wheeler Center will keep it’s same name. The merger is expected to be completed by September. Duane Dean Behavioral Health Services in Kankakee is also part of Rincon.
