State Grant Funding for Narcan Could Disappear

At this morning’s Kankakee County Criminal Justice Committee Meeting, Coroner Bob Gessner said he’s worried grant money for Narcan will be taken away by the state. 

Narcan is medication given to someone to reverse the effects of an opioid overdose. A real-world study using Narcan Nasal Spray found that ninety-five percent of overdoses were successfully reversed.
