Friday night crash kills one
Illinois State Police report a two-car crash on Route 45/52 near Manteno Friday evening killed a Minooka man. According to reports, it was just after 8:30 Friday night when the car driven by 54-year-old Marc Eyman of Minooka was westbound on 10-thousand North Road, failed to stop at 45/52 and was hit broadside by a northbound car. Reports say both cars ended up in a field northwest of the intersection. Eyman was taken to the hospital where he died of his injuries. County Coroner Bob Gessner says a preliminary autopsy shows Eyman died of massive chest and head injuries from the crash. State Police say there were no other injuries reported.
Richard Allen transferred to OK prison
Richard Allen, the man convicted of the February 2017 murders of teenagers Abby Williams and Libby German on a trail in Delphi, has been transferred to a prison in Oklahoma. Allen was sentenced to 130-years in prison and given credit for 786 days served. He is now held in the Lexington Assessment and Reception Center in Lexington, Oklahoma. That is a maximum security state prison in that state and officials have not revealed the reason for the transfer.
Multiple Fights Outside Kankakee Bar
A battery call into Kankakee City Police turned into mob action early Sunday morning. According to reports, city police were called to a bar in the 300 block of South East Avenue just after one Sunday morning in reference to a person who was knocked out on the ground. When officers arrived they found out the subject was transported to the hospital by a friend. Not long after that, multiple fights broke out in the west parking lot of the bar. Bradley Police and Kankakee County Sheriff’s police had to be called in for assistance. One of the fights broken up by officers was allegedly between 34 year old Jevon T. Wesby and 36 year old Tracy A Bowling. Officers had to use a taser on Bowling in order to get him to comply. While officers secured Bowling, multiple people tried crowding around officers. Wesby also allegedly resisted arrest. Both Bowling and Wesby were charged with mob action.
Man Battered on East Court Street in Kankakee Sunday
Kankakee City Police arrested a man Sunday evening for an alleged battery. According to reports, officers were called to a residential facility just after 5:30 Sunday night in the 1900 block of East Court Street for a battery call. When they arrived, officers saw an older Hispanic man in the lobby with dressing wrapped around his head that had blood on it, along with a small pool of blood on the floor. The victim alleged 70 year old Willie L. Robertson of Kankakee hit him over the head several times with an unknown blunt object. Staff stated Robertson left the scene in a powered wheelchair. Police were called back to the building when Robertson returned just after 8:30 Sunday night and was arrested for aggravated battery.
Bourbonnais Police Looking for Missing Person
Bourbonnais Police are in need of your help locating a missing person. According to a press release, 19 year old Lucas Weethee was reported missing by his family Thursday of last week. Weethee was last seen in the Joliet area on Wednesday. Weethee is described as a white man weighing 130 pounds, standing about 5 foot 10 inches tall with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray jacket, camouflage baseball cap, dark gray sweatpants, and gray SAS shoes. Pramaggiore of ComEd Four Sentenced
Former ComEd CEO Anne Pramaggiore is going to prison. She was sentenced today to 24 months in prison and is required to pay a 750 thousand dollar fine. Pramaggiore was convicted on charges of bribery and conspiracy with three co-defendants known as the ComEd Four. She also was accused of falsifying ComEd records in the scheme to bribe former Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan. Pramaggiore must report to prison by December 1st.
