IL Supreme Court Justice to Retire

Illinois Supreme Court Justice Mary Jane Theis is stepping down later this month.  The Chicago native announced she is retiring on January 29th after serving on the Supreme Court since 2010.  She served as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court from 2022 to 2025.  First District Appellate Court Justice Sanjay Tailor has been appointed to fill Theis’ seat
