Jan 15, 2026 | 11:44 AM
The City of Braidwood has announced they’re getting a 600-thousand-dollar grant from the State for the Braidwood Town Center. In a Facebook post, Mayor Todd Lyons says Braidwood was chosen to get the grant from the Open Space Land Acquisition and Development or OSLAD program from the State. Lyons says the grant will let the City move forward with improvements to enhance outdoor recreation opportunities and provide outdoor community gathering spaces to improve the quality of life for those living in Braidwood.  In total, Governor JB Pritzker awarded 36-million dollars to 67 communities across the state.
