With the Illinois Senate back in session this week and the House of Representatives beginning session next week, Kankakee County Sheriff Mike Downey was asked at Wednesday morning’s criminal justice committee meeting whether he knows if new legislation will be introduced to make changes to the SAFE-T Act.
Sheriff Downey said he thinks details on the proposed changes to Illinois’s Safe-T Act should be released in the next week or two.
