Delphi Double Murder Trial Judge to Retire

Jan 20, 2026 | 11:04 AM
Judge Fran Gull, who presided over the double murder trial of Richard Allen in the deaths of two teenage girls in Delphi, is retiring at the end of her term.  Gull has been a fixture at the Allen County Courthouse for almost 30 years.  She says she will retire December 31, 2026 and is not running for reelection.  Gull says she doesn’t want to suggest to voters that she would complete another six-year term.
