Jasper County IN Fire Determined to be Arson

Jasper County Indiana Sheriff’s Police report a fire in the county late last week has been determined to have been arson. In a press release, Jasper Country Deputies say they were called to the home in rural Wheatfield just after three on Friday afternoon.  When they got there, deputies were told a 13-year-old boy was still in the house. The teen was reportedly found a short time later, unharmed in a nearby wooded area. Reports say a firefighter from the Keener Fire Department was injured battling the blaze. Jasper County Sheriff’s Police say an investigation into the fire found it to have been intentionally set by the teen. They say they continue to investigate the fire.
