One Caught After Wilmington Township Incident

Will county Sheriff’s Police report an arrest after a group of people were caught stealing from a train over the weekend. In a Facebook post, Will County Deputies say they were called to the Burlington Northern/Santa Fe crossing at Lorenzo and Cottage Roads in Wilmington Township, by BNSF Police for a burglary in process. When they got there, officers say they found several people wearing ski masks inside two vehicles near the tracks. When they tried to stop them, police say the drivers of the black van and grey SUV took off northbound on I-55. Reports say one person was caught in New Lenox, the others are still on the loose. Will County Sheriff’s Police ask anyone with information about the burglary contact their office.
