Melee in Will County Jail

Will County Sheriff’s Deputies report additional charges after a fight broke out at the Will County Jail Sunday. In a Facebook post, Deputies say they were called to the fight involving six inmates at the Will County Adult Detention Facility just after 2:30 Sunday afternoon. Deputies say their investigation found the fight started when one of the inmates was hit in the head with a drink pitcher. The resulting melee resulted in additional charges of mob action and battery against Giovanni Simpson, Aaron Ortiz and Francisco Medina.
