Additional Charges Filed in Jasper County Chase

Jasper County Sheriff’s Police have provided an update to a story we first told you about on Monday.  In a Facebook post, Jasper County Police say formal charges that include attempted murder have been filed against a 23-year-old Tucker Ellis of Rensselaer. Last Saturday night, Jasper County Deputies tried to stop a car driven by Ellis on State road 49 in rural Wheatfield. Instead of stopping, Ellis allegedly led officers on a high speed chase at over 100 miles an hour. At one point, Ellis allegedly tried to hit deputies with his car, which lead to officers shooting at his car, hitting Ellis in the hand. Ellis is being held in the Jasper County Jail on a million dollars bond.
