Field Near Gibson City Burns

A field fire burned about 14 acres near Gibson City Wednesday. In a Facebook post, Gibson City Fire says they were called out to provide help to the Eilliott Fire Protection District for the fire near Route 47 in rural Ford County. High winds hampered firefighting efforts, but the fire was brought under control in a little less than an hour. There were no reports of any buildings damaged by the fire which started as a controlled burn.
