Senator Joyce Responds to Budget Proposal

Governor JB Pritzker presented his State of the State/Budget address in Springfield Wednesday afternoon. 40th District State Senator Patrick Joyce says the Senate is not just a rubber stamp – we will review this proposal thoroughly and make the changes where they are needed. As a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, I will work diligently over the next few months, acting as a voice for the hard working residents I know back home. The proposed budget totals 56-billion dollars in spending in fiscal year 2027 beginning on July 1st which is a one point six percent increase from the current year.
