When it snows we all want the roads cleared and rarely do we consider the costs. During Monday night’s Bourbonnais Village Board meeting, trustees got an update from Public Works Director Terry Memenga who said the costs were up this year.
Memenga noted there was an increase in the amount of salt needed this winter to keep the streets clear.
Memenga noted snow removal cost the Village a little over 219-thousand dollars so far this winter, compared to just under 105-thousand dollars two years ago.
