During this morning’s meeting of the Kankakee County Board’s Criminal Justice Committee. County Sheriff Mike Downey gave an update to the committee on a program that provides tablets to inmates at the Jerome Combs Detention Center. Downey spoke about some of the programs available on the tablets
Sheriff Downey said the tablets are provided by the inmate phone company and are provided at no cost to county taxpayers.
