During Wednesday morning’s meeting of the Kankakee County Board’s Criminal Justice Committee, Kankakee County Sheriff Mike Downey noted fatal crashes are down in the county this year
Downey added that since the four-way stop was put in there have only been a few fender-bender type accidents at the intersection. Sheriff Downey went on to say the next problematic intersection in the county is at 12-thousand North and Route 1
Downey pointed out there is also talk of re-working that intersection, but that still may not happen for several years.
