During this morning’s meeting of the Kankakee County Board’s Highways, Waterways and Buildings Committee, County Administrator Anita Speckman gave the committee an update on storm damage the county incurred from last month’s tornado. Speckman said there wasn’t a county building that wasn’t at least somewhat damaged by the storm
Speckman added some 30 to 50 county vehicles were damaged by the storm as well. She added it could be July before insurance fully compensates the County for the loss.
