Kankakee City Police report shots fired

Kankakee City Police report an incident of shots being fired in the city Wednesday afternoon. According to reports, it was just after 3:30 Wednesday afternoon when officers were called to the 500 block of South Poplar in reference to shots fired in the area. When they got there, officers say they found a scene in the alley behind a home where several shell casings were discovered along with damage to the garage. City Police continue to investigate.
