Shots fired in Kankakee over the weekend

Kankakee City Police report shots were fired on the city’s eastside Sunday night. According to reports, ShotSpotter technology alerted officers that six rounds had been fired in the 900 block of East Station Street around 9 Sunday night. When police arrived, four spent shell casings were found in the area. Officers spoke with a resident in the 200 block of South Wildwood Avenue who was able to provide video of person on a bike approaching the intersection of South Wildwood and East Station Street. Once shots are heard in the video, the person on the bike turned to head westbound on East Station Street away from the area. Police say no victims were located and there’s no other witnesses at this time.
