Gas prices continue to climb across Illinois. Triple-A says a gallon of regular no-lead gas is now running five-dollars and eight cents across the Land of Lincoln. That’s another nickel jump overnight. Gas prices up slightly in the Kankakee area where they went up a penny overnight to four-dollars-93 cents a gallon. Triple-A says a gallon of gas will set you back four-dollars-85 cents in Iroquois County, 4.94 in Ford County, 4.91 in Grundy County and five-dollars-10 cents in Will County.
Across the State line, that gallon of gas will set you back four-dollars-31 cents on average in Newton County, 4.56 in Benton County and 4.36 in Jasper County. Triple-A says a gallon of gas is running four-dollars-25 cents a gallon on average across the Hoosier State. The Nation-wide average is 4.53 a gallon.
