Kankakee County Sheriff’s Office Helps FBI with Over 29 Arrests

The Kankakee County Sheriff’s Office announced today that they recently helped the FBI in a multi-agency five-day surge that resulted in several arrests, drug and gun seizures. According to a press release, Operation Viper spanned the eastern side of Central Illinois and focused on the most high impact fugitives in that region. The operation brought in twenty-nine arrests, over 4-thousand grams of marijuana, seven-hundred-eighty grams of unidentified pills, fifty grams of cocaine, two-hundred some grams of methamphetamine, and seven illegally possessed fire arms. U.S. Marshalls and the Decatur Police Department were also part of the FBI operation
