Jasper Co IN crash killes 19-year-old Lowell woman

Jasper County Indiana Sheriff’s Police report a fatal crash. In a press release, Jasper County Deputies say they were called just after noon Monday to a crash on State Road 10 near County Road 11-hundred West near DeMotte. Deputies say their preliminary investigation shows a car driven by 26-year-old Kiana Bessette of Wheatfield was traveling eastbound on Route 10 when she rear-ended a car driven by 19-year-old Marjorie Rottier of Lowell. The crash reportedly forced Rottier’s car into the westbound lanes of Route 10 where it was hit by a pick-up truck. Bessette’s car reportedly continued on and was hit by an SUV driven by a 64-year-old Rensselaer woman. Reports say Rottier died at the scene of the crash. Others involved in the crash were taken to area hospitals for treatment and evaluation. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
