Kankakee Area Metropolitan Enforcement Group Agents, along with Illinois State Police arrested a 38-year-old Kankakee man late last week on drug charges. In a press release, the ISP and KAMEG say 38-year-old Rogelio Alvarado-Alarcon was taken into custody Thursday on several drug and weapons charges. KAMEG agents with the help of the State Police SWAT team and other local law enforcement agencies executed search warrants at three different properties Thursday and allegedly came away with some 200 grams of cocaine, about 75 grams of methamphetamine, six-thousand grams of cannabis, four firearms, ammunition and cash. Alvarado-Alarcon was taken to the Jerome Combs Detention Center on preliminary charges of possession of meth, cocaine and cannabis with intent to deliver, and possession of a stolen firearm among other charges.
